Growing up I spent a lot of time at my best friend’s ranch house where her mother had a leather shop. I would spend countless hours watching her create these beautiful designs on leather. When I was old enough that she trusted me to use the tools without cutting a finger off I began learning. Since then I continue to master leather carving as I make new things. I think it is an art form that deserves more love and appreciation.

I know leather carving can be confusing especially when you are beginning or running out of ideas. I am here to tell you everything I know about leather to get you started and creating. Ideas for projects and designs will also be posted to help if you get stuck and don’t know where to proceed.
